I have taken the coveted journey back to Korea!!   The trip was for work  …Does life get better than this?? A free trip back to one of my many “homes”….but I had a few days off to visit the old stomping grounds. 

What an emotional rollercoaster....Finally the day arrived and I boarded the plane with a smile from ear to ear. On the long flight over I thought about the good old days and yes I had tears of joy and sadness!  (That was way to much free time for my mind to wander!! )

Overall, I came to the conclusion for all of the sacrifices of being at a remote post (Cp Humphreys) the long bus rides, the lack of American food and culture, public bathrooms that were holes in the ground and cooking on two hotplates and a microwave the entire tour (we didn't have base housing)  was worth experiencing.... Korea made me who I am today….amazing how one word change in your Dad’s orders (from Panama to Korea) can change your entire destiny!!!!
